Cummins Sales and Service Korea runs a training center to provide training programs on engines and generators to employees, customers, dealers, and OEMs.  

 

General information

  • We accept applications until one week prior to each training session. Please make sure you apply two weeks prior to your training.
  • You can apply either via e-mail or phone calls.
  • There should be at least ten applicants to open a training course. Courses can be canceled when there are not enough applicants. You will receive notification in case your course is canceled due to insufficient enrollment.
  • Please contact Cummins training instructors for questions about group training or on-site training.

Cummins Training Programs 

1.FDE Training (Fundamental Diesel Engine Training)

The FDE training consists of basic principles of engine operation, mechanism of Cummins engines, basic components of engines, and ways to power and manage engines. The FDE training doesn't’t require any prerequisite course.

2. Insite 8.X Qualification

The BETT & Insite 8.X Qualification training is to help OEM clients on the ground to get used to the certification process and application of Insite, Cummins engine diagnosis program. BETT, Basic Electrical Theory & Troubleshooting, is a prerequisite for all Cummins training courses on electronic control engine. The BETT training helps trainees understand electronic engines and acquire basic knowledge for engine maintenance and diagnosis through hands-on experience of handling electric and electronic parts.

3. Warranty Claim Course

The course aims at helping trainees understand Cummins warranty claim policies. After taking the course, trainees will be able to fill in the documents for warranty claim and become familiar with the SRT manual.

4. Tier4 Final MR (QSK3.8/QSK6.7/QSL9) Qualification Training

The Tier4 Final MR Qualification Training is a course for service qualification for local Cummins engines that meet the Tier4 Final emissions regulation. Off-road equipment has been asked to meet the regulation since 2015.  The training consists of content like basic theories about engine operation, requirements for repairs, operation and maintenance of aftertreatment systems, and Cummins service processes.  Those who completed the course are given the qualification to repair engines.

* Prerequisite: FDE Training, BETT & Insite Qualification

5. Euro 6 MR (ISF3.8/ISB6.7/ISL9) Qualification Training

The Euro 6 MR Qualification Training is a course for service qualification for local Cummins engines that meet the Euro 6 emissions standards. Off-highway vehicles such as buses and trucks have been asked to meet the standards since 2015. The training consists of content like basic components of engines and aftertreatment, preconditions for powering engines, and service processes for basic repairs and maintenance. Those who finish the course are given the qualification to repair the engines.

* Prerequisite: FDE Training, BETT & Insite Qualification

6. Basic Generator Training

As training open to all customers, the Basic of Generator Training provides basic theories about generators. The training consists of content like generator structure, preconditions for structuring and operating power sources, and basic theories about three-phase generators and generator controllers. Not only Cummins generators but generators of all types are handled in the training. Service qualification training for generators is provided separately.
